¿What is CEANI? PDF Print

Image    CEANI is composed by a multidisciplinary team of engineers (in several fields as Industry, Telecommunications, Computer Science) Physicists, Chemists, Mathematicians and other specialists. Since 1992 it is devoted to R+D+i in Modelling, Simulation, Optimization and Reliability solving problems related both to environment and industry. CEANI is an active member of several European, National and Canarian projects and networks. CEANI organizes periodically scientific-technical events (congresses, courses, meetings and workshops) and it maintains a regular activity in science and technology which supports its scientific publications, engineering projects and advanced developments in software. CEANI was in its origins an ULPGC research Service and nowadays is a research division of the Intelligent Systems and Numerical Applications in Engineering Institute (SIANI).

INTEGRATED MULTIPURPOSE PLATFORM

PLATEA 4D is a platform to help the decision making process necessary for optimal response planning in emergency situations such as contaminant events in the environment, accidents where hazardous substances are involved, adverse meteorological phenomena, forest fires, etc.

It is designed for diverse functions:

 

  • It allows the monitoring and evaluation of a risk scenario, generating preventive measures to  minimize the incident’s risk.
  • It makes simulations of risk scenarios to predict their possible evolution and  importance.
  • It generates actuation protocols for helping the planning and/or management of emergencies.
